@Membership Committee It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Professor Chairul Ismael, a beloved pediatric surgeon from Indonesia. Dr. Ismael dedicated his life to healing the youngest among us, leaving an indelible mark on countless families and colleagues.

Born in Bukit Tinggi, West Sumatera, Indonesia, in 1938. Dr. Ismael pursued his passion for medicine with unwavering dedication. He graduated with honors from Padjajaran University, Bandung, West Java and went on to specialize in pediatric surgery in University of Indonesia, becoming a leading expert in his field.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Ismael performed numerous groundbreaking surgeries, providing hope and healing to countless children facing complex medical challenges. His commitment to excellence and compassionate care earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and patients alike.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Ismael was a devoted educator, shaping the next generation of pediatric surgeons through his role as a professor at Padjajaran University, Bandung, West Java. He was known for his kindness, patience, and unwavering dedication to his students' success.
