In May of 2017, the Pacific Association of Pediatric Surgeons (PAPS) celebrated its 50th anniversary in Seattle, Washington, USA. Over 450 PAPS members, non-members, trainees, and guests from 32 countries contributed to an outstanding academic program. Attendees also participated in a global cultural exchange at the annual banquet at the museum of Flight in accordance with PAPS tradition. A special trip to Orcas Island and the Rosario Resort extended the festivities to the original location where PAPS forefathers held the very first PAPS meeting. It was a conference to be remembered.
Throughout the years - whether in times of difficulty or prosperity - PAPS has remained faithful to its forefather’s dream of diversity, inclusivity and social responsibility. PAPS continues to support the growth of pediatric surgery around the world. Our Global Alliance Program actively engages young pediatric surgeons from developing countries with a unique opportunity of scientific exchange and mentorship.
This year’s PAPS 51st Annual Scientific Meeting will continue our tradition of excellence in education in beautiful Sapporo, Japan May 13th through the 17th. We cordially invite you to participate in our meeting, a unique experience in academic pediatric surgery unlike any other organization. Please join us in Sapporo to interact with other internationally distinguished pediatric surgeons, immerse yourself in sensational Japanese culture, and experience the friendly atmosphere created at every PAPS meeting. This family oriented conference will be an enjoyment for all. Please join us at our next meeting.
We look forward to seeing you in Sapporo!
